Business Authors,
Writers & Economists

Sorry for any errors on the tips & how to pages. I'm doing this fast.

Want to witness an Economic Bubble?

I'm not sure if this will become an economic bubble, but you know better than me. I am willing to discuss this with you.

Just don't attack this too soon. Self-publishing gives everyone a chance to come up with books without the system of permissions that the huge publishing industry dictates. However, I have noticed that it is still a hurdle to be creative enough to write a single paragraph, much less an entire book of life stories and essays.

Making art is difficult as well. I have noticed that these hurdles are not even linear, they are geometric. This is like programming, where one additional condition to incorporate could mean 10 additional sets of code, as the new condition needs to individually interact with the previous ten situations.

Have you read The Starfish and the Spider, a book by Ori Brafman and Rod Beckstrom?

The book said that a traditional company, with a leader, subordinates and employees is like a spider. If you cut the spider's head off, the entire setup dies.

What I am hoping to accomplish is to share an idea, so that everyone will have the ability to participate in varying degrees and capacities, anywhere in the world. This is like how Ori Brafman describes the starfish organization. If you cut the leg off of a starfish, the original starfish will regrow its leg, while the separated leg will develop into another starfish.

Comparing this with the Tulipmania and other economic bubbles

First off, anyone can propagate tulips. With art, the artist would be the source. There might be a lot of artists, but each of them are supposed to declare a definite number of works. Each art piece produced does not have to be recirculated all the time. Art collectors will keep them. A parent with four children might acquire 6 works, to sell two and keep four for his kids.

Some pension funds are in the spotlight right now

They are supposedly desperate to make faster money than what they had been investing and reinvesting in. I once worked as a processor of disability, death and retirement benefits. I highly appreciate pension funds. Investing in the right artists might help. If you take your pen, paper and calculator our, you will notice that the government of Greece can invest and make famous one to five artists, to be able to pay their IMF debt. The state of Illinois in the US can invest in the same number to save their pension funds.

Could there be other Bernie Madoffs out there?

Bernie Madoff would not have gone to jail - he could have used one artist, or two, with 1441 works to make $65 billion dollars to give to the investors ($100,000 doubling to $200,000, $400,000, $800,000, $1,600,000, $3,200,000, $6,400,000, $12,800,000, $25,600,000 with 160 works at each price point and a final one piece declared to have a street value or selling price of $51,200,000 to make $80 billion dollars total street value from 1400 works, less $15 billion dollars cost of acquisition paid to the artist).
